Freya Yeates is a writer, facilitator, and visual arts producer from Glasgow.

Freya has supported artists through various residencies, commissions, and public programmes as a co-director of Rhubaba Gallery and Studios, and programmed engagement events and workshops as the D.I.Y Youth Curator for the Fruitmarket Gallery (Edinburgh).  She has also participated in academic conferences and worked as a seminar producer with the Institute for Postnatural Studies (Madrid).

Now based in London, she supports creative projects as a freelancer. Recent projects have included a written commission for the artist Natasha V. Moody and Seager Gallery, titled Toward the Living Light (of Other-Worlds); providing editorial support for artist-filmmakers Cáit and Éiméar McClay; and facilitating an evaluation project for the Talks and Community Engagement Programme at the ICA (London).

Freya currently supports the co-production of an artist-led learning programme as the Syllabus Coordinator at Wysing Arts Centre.

She is particularly interested in performance and moving-image practices, as well as supporting socially engaged projects that demonstrate alternative, community-led,  and non-hierarchical ways of working.
